There is something I can't resist when I'm Sicily. it is what they call "pezzi di tavola calda" which is a variety of small and soft pizzas, sort of salted brioches with inside ham, tomatoes, or onions, and ragout sauce or rice and butter.. My preferred one is La Cartocciata which I tried to make home.. wow! it is very similar!! :-)
The interior is usually tomatoes, cheese and ham. In some case you can add spinaches or mashroooms or aubergine!
